My client has an immediate opening for a Service Manager in their manufacturing plant in Gillette, WY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing field service technicians. Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry (specifically Coal Bed Methane) is a plus. My client is looking for someone who can motivate a team and play an integral role in their development. Reports To: VP of National Sales

Purpose and Scope

Under limited supervision, manage a group of Field Service Technicians to maintain and increase customer satisfaction through high quality installation, repair, modification and preventative maintenance of site equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Manage and coordinate field operations which include scheduling service & installation jobs. This includes meeting defined goals and objectives. Forecast personnel requirements through maintaining effective communication with Sales, Production, R&D and Administration.
* Direct the efforts of a diverse group of Field Service Technicians engaged in the oversight, installation, repair, modification and preventive maintenance of site equipment.
* Responsible for assuring the accurate and timely administration and reporting of customer account activities utilizing SYSPRO and Microsoft office applications.
* Maintain and monitor inventory level and work with purchasing to ensure product is available to meet customer needs.
* Acquire technical support as needed to minimize equipment downtime.
* Monitor all local customer service actions to assure they are clearly communicated to all involved parties in a timely manner (Customers, Technical Support, Sales, Production and other Service personnel).
* Resolve account management problems.
* Work with sales to build and maintain customer relations which include ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction through both direct and indirect contact.
* Oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions; motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
* Direct and maintain the safety program for location.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Knowledge of modern office practices, time management, and procedures, including business correspondence, record keeping and filing systems, and office equipment.
* Skill in verbal and written communication.
* Skill in organization and time management.
* Ability to manage, lead and motivate a staff.
* Ability to operate a personal computer and use Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.
* Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints and problems and restore or maintain business.
* Ability to maintain positive working relationships.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Education & Experience

* High School Diploma. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred, but not required.
* Three years related management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

* Primarily work in an office environment; but may also require frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and reaching using hands, arms and legs. May be required to assist in lifting and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will sometimes require work in extreme weather conditions.
