ADVANCED BIOSTATISTICIAN

Minimum Qualifications:

§ MS degree in Statistics, or Epidemiology from an accredited university;

§ Two (2) years experience in the manipulation, analysis, and reporting of biomedical data;

§ English Level III proficiency in reading, speaking and writing; proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Access, Word, and highly proficient in conducting advanced statistical programming & analysis (including, but not limited to: descriptive statistics, univariate and multivariate statistical testing and sample size determinations) using the statistical computer software SAS.

Duties:

§ Organizes source documents from clinical and laboratory studies and archives the same according to approved standard operating procedures;

§ Captures data from archived source documents into computer files by managing a double data entry procedure; utilizes statistical and analytical software (SAS) to summarize specific parts and aspects of the data collection;

§ Identifies and reconciles discrepancies in double-entry data bases; and

§ Provides data reports to the Program Director;

§ Conducts statistical analysis with minimum supervision;

§ Prepares reports reflecting derived analytical procedures and participant in preparing reports, manuscripts and grant proposals in under the guidance of the Program Director.
