CARE International Indonesia is presently seeking the following position to be based in Simeulue:

WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Job summary

To manage all food and non food item warehouse within CARE Simeulue area of operations. To supervise and build the capacity of the CARE Simeulue warehouse team and work closely with other programs in relation to the receipt and dispatch needs of the operation. In particular, the position will focus on the non-food items storage and distribution.

Under the direct supervision of the Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, Simeulue ensure all procedures, tasks and functions are undertaken in a correct, effective and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

· Effectively implement CAREs warehouse working guidelines to ensure efficiency and timely material delivery and dispatch and minimize any potential pilferages and losses

· Promoting staff development and teamwork at warehouse. Build the capacity of the team in relation to warehousing best practices through formal and on-the-job training.

· Ensuring optimum stock provision, storage facilities and stock control measures. Verify the receipt documents and develop timely commodity receipt, dispatch and transport plans ensuring sufficient loading capacity to support distribution plans.

· Work closely with Commodity accounting to ensure accurate materials capture as per user department and donor and ensure timely reporting

· Work closely with procurement and program units for proper coordination of receipts and dispatches at the warehouse.

· Responsible for accurate reporting of all commodities entrusted in the warehouse department to user departments. Implement effective commodity tracking system for donor reporting for all NFI. Prepare weekly materials tracking and monthly consolidated reports. Maintain proper stack cards and stock ledgers for all stock items in the warehouse.

· Responsible for sound warehouse maintenance.( Coordinator warehouses maintenance, repair and construction). Ensure warehouse has adequate security all time, lighting facilities, and fire fighting equipment in a proper working condition at all times

· Planning stock movement and distributions along with managing all labour.

· Report all warehouse related issues to the Logistics and Supply Chain manager for information, continuity, follow up and action decisions.

· Verify distribution plans, waybills, stock reports, to ascertain correct/accurate entries prior to submission to Logistics and Supply chain Manager.

· Conduct monthly physical stock count in the warehouse. This should be done in conjunction with the warehouse staff to act as a check and balance and ensure all is on track.

· Develop an effective inventory management system. Track Warehouse and distribution assets.
